Errors

Fuse refusals are JSON with error, message, and request_id. The provider is not called unless the status came from the provider.

  • 401 invalid_fuse_key — missing, malformed, unknown, or revoked.
  • 403 fuse_key_disabled — the key is turned off in the dashboard.
  • 402 subscription_inactive — no active plan.
  • 402 fuse_blown — this request would cross a ceiling.
  • 403 no_ceiling_configured — set a ceiling first.
  • 403 provider_key_missing — that provider has no key.
  • 403 provider_misconfigured — the custom base URL is invalid.
  • 400 model_not_allowed — turn the model on.
  • 400 model_not_priced — Fuse has no price for it.
  • 400 endpoint_not_supported — that provider does not serve this path.
  • 400 unsupported_in_v1 — images, audio, files, batch, realtime, built-in tools, or n greater than 1.
  • 400 invalid_json or invalid_request — the body cannot be priced.
  • 413 payload_too_large — body over 8 MB.
  • 429 rate_limited — the key is over its per-minute limit, or too many bad keys were sent.
  • 502 upstream_unreachable or upstream_body_failed — the provider did not finish.
  • 503 fuse_unavailable — the ceiling could not be checked, so nothing was forwarded.
  • 404 not_found — the path is not under /v1.
